4 MORE SLEEPS!!!

Finally, it's here! This coming Saturday we can start voting. The first of the Mayoral Debates will be over, as well as some of the ward debates. If you don't have your mind made up yet, there are still four more early voting dates. ANY eligible voter may vote at the Advance Polls. There is also the General Election on October 22. There are many, many, many chances to get to the ballot box. Should you choose to vote on Saturday, your obligation is not over. Now, focus on getting somebody else to the polls.

Every election, various groups encourage "the vote". We rah-rah and pledge to vote and claim we will be heard. Disappointment creeps into our souls when nothing is different the day after the election. We don't understand why this happened. How could it happen?

Here's the answer. You and I, we voted in 2014 and we voted, again. The individuals that didn't vote in 2014, didn't vote, again!! In order to change the faces at the table, we must add to the crowds at the ballot box.

If WE don't engage our friends and colleagues, we will see the same Council. No group, or party or organization tries to aggressively increase voter turnout. It is up to YOU and I and every voter, to get someone new to the polls. If WE don't act, there will be no change.

Please, I'm begging, commit to the vote. It's easy and free. If somebody likes the direction the current council is taking Windsor, vote for the incumbent. But, if you are like so many people I've talked with and met, and you want change, YOU must bring a friend to the polls with you.

I'm taking four voters to Devonshire on Saturday, three 18+ and a friend who hasn't voted since her move to Windsor from Leamington. How many people are you bringing to VOTE?!?
