Another AP & a Mayoral Debate

Yes! The City of Windsor is giving you another opportunity to vote. Advance Poll #3 is being held today. The Windsor International Aquatic & Training Centre (WIATC) on Pitt Street is the location. IF you are still unsure who should get your vote, there is another AP tomorrow and of course the General Election, October 22.

If you are one of the many, still pondering who will garner your vote, there is a Mayoral Debate being held today. Matt Marchand vs. the incumbent. It will be streamed on CBC Windsor Facebook, so look for the link if you miss the debate.

It's Wednesday and we can't forget Rose City Politics (live @ 8, podcast available after). Tonight they host the candidates from Ward 8. The challengers have been campaigning in a cooperative fashion. Will that change when they go head-to-head tonight? I believe all candidates are attending. Remember, there is no incumbent. Bill Marra chose to retire. Whoever wins has big shoes to fill.

There is a Ward 10 Debate tomorrow, followed by a forum on Saturday and a Walk in the Park on Sunday. Next week, Ballots 'n Brews events are in Wards 2-5. I don't know of anything organized in Ward 1 but I do know there are 2 wonderful alternatives to the incumbent in Krysta Glovasky-Ridsdale and Darcie Renaud. If anybody knows of anything in Wards 6 or 7, please share. Again, there are fantastic challengers in each of these wards. Jeff Denomme and Terry Yaldo are running against JAG in Ward 6. Angelo Marignani is challenging in Ward 7. I like to think there is nothing in Ward 9 because everyone has their mind made up on Kiernan McKenzie.

IF YOU WANT TO SHARE AN EVENT, PLEASE DO!! Leave a comment here or on the Facebook page. The point is to engage VOTERS, particularly those that didn't vote in 2014.

On a positive note, CTV released a poll, using a very, very, very small sample size indicating 17% of eligible voters don't plan on voting. Wow! #imagineWindsor where so many people support their Council.

Continue to get engaged and find a friend to take to the polls with you on OCTOBER 22!
