It's time for municipal elections! Hurray! This is a sincere sentiment!
Politics, no matter the level, leave little room for citizen participation. There are advocates and lobbyists existing outside the political arena, applying their particular pressures but citizens don't participate in a regular basis. However, we do get the option to choose our representatives every four years. 2018 is one of these magical years. Be not afraid!

Following the common 'they don't listen to the people' and 'they do what they want', I continue to be surprised at the number of people who are afraid they'll do something wrong. ATTENTION ALL ELIGIBLE VOTERS, you can't make a mistake. Yes, I might disagree. Yes, those close to you may disagree. BUT your vote is your own. To believe in a democracy is to believe you have the right to express your opinion just like I am free to express my own.
Not sure who should get your vote? Let's make some simple assessments: Are you a happy Windsorite? If the answer is YES, you're done thinking. VOTE for the incumbent on October 22. If your answer is NO, you have a bit more thinking to do. Don't fret!!
Before you pick a candidate, you must decide what is important to you and which candidate best supports your ideas. Daycare? Roads? Flooding? Accountability? Affordable housing? Auditor Genera? By-law enforcement? Business development? Waterfront development?
What matters to you? NOW is the time to make change. Somebody, far famous than myself, said if you do the same thing repeatedly, but expect different result, you're insane!
VOTE for change on October 22. It's easy.
