The Campaign Crunch

Today is the day serious campaigning starts in Windsor. Nothing to do this evening? Choose either event:

Ward 5 All Candidates Meeting This should be a wonderful debate. I understand all candidates will be attending. No offense to Mr. Sleiman, but Windsor needs change. Although, in his defense, Mr. Sleiman is confident enough to attend a debate. He should speak to the other incumbents!! This is when your other options will shine. Remember, elections are not a popularity contest. Evaluate each candidate based on their platform and their abilities that will contribute to doing the job well. Ward 5 residents have a tough choice. Attending this event should be a priority. I do understand it will be broadcast on Rose City Politics for those that can't get to Ford City. By the way, this event is FREE!

CFUW Mayoral Debate This is the event of the campaign!! A FREE event and open to everybody! The ladies at the CFUW must have a special touch. The current sitting Mayor be there. Yes, you can see Ernie the Bacon Man. Of course, Matt Marchand, Thomas Hensel and Frank Dyck will also be vying for your vote. Don't only listen to what they say, watch how they treat the citizens. People can learn information and tasks, every winner has struggled through a first term. Their individual personalities and how they interact with others, is what sets each candidate apart.

If this is your first debate, I suggest the Ward 5 event. This is a campaign for Councillor. A voter is choosing the person believed to represent the taxpayer's best interest. A Councillor is YOUR voice at the table.

There is the option of not attending either function. This doesn't relieve you of any responsibility to vote. Whether or not, one attends this evening's event, I know everybody has a polling date circled on their calendar. It could be this Saturday, any of the next four Advance Polls or you might wait until October 22.

It doesn't matter the date, as long as you VOTE and bring a new voter with you. Windsor needs change at City Hall.
